Hello and welcome to today’s discussion. Last week we talked about how to profit from undervalued investments. Find that in the tab below.
Today, we emphasize the importance of financial education.
Again, heaven’s kingdom is like a wealthy man who went on a long journey and summoned all his trusted servants and assigned his financial management over to them.

Financial education is not just about making money, even though having money is one of the benefits. A man without financial education may inherit wealth, earn large sums, or even win the lottery, but without the knowledge to manage and grow that wealth, he will eventually lose it. History is filled with examples of people who went from riches to rags due to financial ignorance and rags to riches due to financial education. Money, when mismanaged, can disappear faster than it was earned. True financial intelligence ensures that wealth is not just acquired but sustained and multiplied across generations.
Many people try to separate financial education from spiritual principles, but they are deeply connected. The Bible and other sacred texts are full of financial wisdom—teachings about stewardship, diligence, generosity, and the dangers of financial ignorance. For instance, the principle of sowing and reaping is a spiritual law which influences finances. Those who invest wisely and manage their resources well will reap abundance, while those who squander will suffer lack. Financial literacy, when rooted in spiritual wisdom, ensures that wealth is built on a foundation of integrity and long-term growth.
To ignore financial education is like investing in bags with holes. Without the right knowledge, every financial gain will eventually slip away due to poor decision-making. Many people make the mistake of focusing solely on earning rather than learning. They chase get-rich-quick schemes, fall for bad investments, or simply fail to budget and save properly. Understanding financial principles like assets, liabilities, cash flow, expenses prevent losses and ensures that money works for you rather than against you.
One of the most controversial but undeniable truths in financial education is that God wants you to be rich. Many people struggle with this idea due to misconceptions about money being evil. However, wealth is a tool, and like any tool, it depends on how it is used. God’s desire is for people to live abundantly, bless others, and have the resources to fulfill their purpose. The key is not just acquiring wealth but using it wisely for good. When financial education is combined with faith and wisdom, wealth becomes a means to create impact rather than a source of selfishness.
As we step into a new year, many are eager to invest and grow their finances. However, the best investment before any financial venture is education. Financial literacy reduces investment risks and prevents costly mistakes. Before putting money into real estate, stocks, or any business, one must first learn the principles of assets, liabilities, cash flow, expenses, risk management amongst others. The more knowledgeable you are, the better your financial decisions will be, leading to higher returns and fewer losses.
The lack of financial education is a silent destroyer of destinies. Many talented, hardworking individuals remain financially stagnant because they were never taught how to properly manage, grow, and multiply their earnings. Financial education should not be an afterthought—it should be a priority. Schools, religious institutions, social organizations and families must emphasize financial literacy as an essential life skill. When individuals understand money, they break free from cycles of bad debt, stress, and lack, creating a legacy of abundance for future generations.
‘‘Financial wisdom lights the way,
Without it, wealth will fade away.
Learn before you take the leap,
Or watch your riches fail to keep.
Grow your mind, invest with grace,
And watch abundance take its place’’
The call to action is clear: Get financially educated! Read books, find mentors, and immerse yourself in financial wisdom. This year don’t just aim to make more money—aim to understand it. Because when you master money, you don’t just become rich—you become financially free. The wealth you build will not only sustain you but also bless others and create lasting impact. Choose wisdom, choose education, and choose financial intelligence. Your future depends on it!
Financial education is a subject that is not taught in mainstream academic establishment. It's a pity.
Thanks for the insight....
